Why subscribe?

My hope for this substack is to serve those who love the ocean and love God. My academic writing is available on Researchgate, but there is no place to gather and create my writing which seeks to connect us by water. While I write from a broadly Christian view, this is not a place where I will try and convince you of that position. My thoughts and feelings on ocean and faith issues are just that – mine. You may benefit from them whether or not you are pursuing the Christian faith.

I also hope to address some of the pressing marine conservation issues and topical ocean occurrences in a way that uses my 30+ years of experience as a marine biologist. Looking at these through the lens of science and faith might bring a little clarity and insight into some of these issues.
